My name is Franziska Schädlich and I come from Germany.
Dogs have always been a part of my life and on my 17th birthday I made my dream come true and my first Dutch Shepherd, Prins van de Vastenow aka Atze, moved in with me.
The Dutch shepherd is incredibly versatile. His love of exercise, his health and his drive make him a great sporting dog that is also used in many service areas. He is extremely attentive and loyal, which is why I fell in love with the breed. I have had Dutch Shepherds for more than 20 years now. I am passionate about the sport of Schutzhund and have already taken part in many competitions, including the WDSF World Championship.
I became an IGP judge in 2022. I would like to see the Herder become a respected and equal working dog in the coming years, one that can hold its own alongside other working dog breeds, regardless of the sport. The Dutch shepherd can do everything 😉
A few years ago, I fulfilled another dream and set up my own breeding program. I now breed Dutch Shepherds: “vom Werwolfstein” in the VDH/FCI. I love to browse through bloodlines and breed sporty dogs that are suitable for many sports and meet the characteristics of a working dog.
I joined the IGP sports commission to support the WDSF and look forward to working with all the members and the presidium.
